Avoid kitchen fires!!

Kitchen fire at a restaurant.

Many of the fires we get called into begin in the kitchen. Most people would say they expect that to be the case, since the kitchen has stoves and microwaves. When you have items that can cause fires, of course that's where most the fire problems would start!

Simple mishaps can cause problems! That's why we say to always pay attention and do not leave fire alone. Even a few seconds it can happen, and you will be in emergency mode.

Stay focused while you are in the kitchen. Keep clothing and other flammable items far from flames. Don't take it for granted that it won't happen to you, because most people don't think it will. Attentiveness goes a long way!
